If you can find one the Prometheus Piranha is very nice, it was also available with orange, black, or white dials. Now discontinued and may be as hard to find as the Seiko, but another one to look for perhaps?

I have liked the idea of getting an yellow dial seiko, should have bought a skxa35 years ago and now prices they are trying to sell for are crazy. Any suggestions for a nice yellow dial watch. The spinnaker Dumas looks nice but not sure how good a watch it is ? Any others worth considering?

Sorry, but I have no alternate suggestions. They are quite sublime.
Doxa Sub?
You might find a yellow dial original Orient Mako, but they are not common...
The Orient Star 300m yellow dial and Seiko SKA367 come to mind as possible alternatives.
Been offered a nice condition skxa35. How much would you expect or be willing to pay for one? Do they come up for sale often ?
I have this but always feel something wrong with it hands..Doxa is very nice depending on your budget
They are lovely watches - the yellow is just the right shade! I hadn’t realised they had gone up in price so much. Mine is my holiday beater but I might need to look after it better...
Sold watches on eBay have gone for £380-480 from what I can see.
How about Citizen?

Have done a deal to buy one , just need to buy a nice mesh for it 😊
Just stumbled across this. Too late to the party but better ever then never...
I had the same quest for skxa35 last year so if there are more who like yellow pay attention to Citizen NY0040-25Y. I didnt even know that it exists.
As I prefer NY0040 line-up over SKX's (applied markers, nicer hands, better mvt) this was a quick decision
Edit: no allignment issues whatsoever...
