Not new but the beeb has just put all four series of Battlestar Galactica on the iPlayer.

It passed me by first time so I started watching last night and I'm hooked. Totally brilliant.

BSG is one of the finest TV series ever made, of any genre.

Make sure you watch the whole lot.

A friend of mine did his Doctoral Thesis with BSG as a basis, the depth of the show is quite amazing really.

(And before anyone thinks it's just a reboot of the 70's camp sci-fi show - it most certainly isn't in any meaningful sense!)
So clever my foot fell off.

Just finished Snowpiercer, preposterous concept but thought it was brilliant especially once all the plot lines started stitching together from about Episode 5, looking forward to Season 2 release in January with Sean Bean!

season 4 of fargo has not long started (3 ep in) - a great series if you have not seen any of them.

It's on in Australia if you have a SmartDNS, https://www.sbs.com.au/ondemand/program/fargo.

Started watching Wisting on BBC via iPlayer - it's a Scandinavian detective thriller.

3 episodes in and it's hotting up nicely - Carrie-Anne Moss guest starring helps ;-)

I take it you don't need to have seen Season 3?

Loved the 1st 2 seasons but Ewan MacGregor is my kryptonite, just about unwatchable in anything after Shallow Grave/Trainspotting IMHO and I managed 1 episode of S3 before giving up.

Edit: He's ok when travelling the world on a motor bike
