Hi guys,
Need some help. I have ordered the new Seiko SPB 147, the brown dialed “reimagined 62MAS”. Looks really cool and I am very excited.
It comes in a silicon strap and I want to change it up a bit. Going to put it on a Milanaise/ mesh strap. I have never had a Seiko diver before and I understand that they use “fat” spring bars. 2.5 mm diameter at the body and 1.1 mm at the tips. All the Milanese/ mesh straps that I have found only fits “regular” smaller spring bars. And I have heard that is the tip end of the spring bar is too thin (as in standard spring bars), it will lead to a rattle and eventual damage. And also that it is less secure.
So my question is where can I get a Milanese/ mesh strap that fits “fat” Seiko diver spring bars?
Many thanks,
Chi Kai

I don't think that will have the 2.5mm pins. Not all Seiko dive watches are designed for fat bars.
Personally I think it will be better suited to the 1.8mm for the milanese so why not wait until it arrives to check what pins fit it best before you buy the wrong ones.
Even better would be some info on that particular model off any owners who have experience of it on here.

Hi Chi Kai
My SPB143 is all packaged up for posting tomorrow. However I can confirm that it does have the 2.5mm/1.1mm “fat” bars installed in the bracelet. I bought the WatchGecko spring bars linked above, alongside their Vintage Tropic as the strap doesn’t accept the 2.5mm oem bars. Both items fitted the watch perfectly.
Edit: WatchGecko clearly state that this bracelet will accept their 2mm/1.1mm bars as the Seiko bars will not fit.
