Just swapped this on to the rubber strap - Seiko should really sell it this way!
Having long wanted to try one of the MM300s, this arrived this morning. As I've sat here (supposedly) working today, I've decided it's impossible to try and capture all the various hues as it catches the light. Utterly mesmerising.
I love my black Marine Master

Once again I find myself enjoying a Great Blue Hole
This never gets any wrist time so pulled it out today to give it a whirl
As a value proposition I can’t think of any watch on the market today that beats this.
Robust
Accurate (if you are lucky like me)
Water resistant
Good lume
Not bad looking either.
Seiko nailed it with this one, shame as it’s replacement missed the mark IMO

Wearing a lesser spotted Seiko today.
I am not convinced on the kinetic movement (they need wearing) in a collection of watches but as an oddity it works and it’s the best holiday watch out I can think of.
However It needs a charge every now and again.
Terrible photo, but this is my dad's old Seiko. It sat in a drawer for 10 years, maybe even 20, after his god-awful hair pulling flexy band broke. My brother's friend, who is a watchmaker, then had it for another 5 years because it wasn't running that well, and when we got it back it was on a generic seiko bracelet which my dad hated and refused to wear it. I tried him on another couple of bracelets, which he didn't like, so the only thing was to search for the flexy bracelet. Which I've done off and on for another year and a half. Maybe he'll wear it now. (Don't worry, I have one of my own, if I didn't, I wouldn't be giving it back!).
Seiko 7549-7010 from June 1978
New battery and bench pic from Lewie :
Did some light resto work on the SKX007 I picked up recently. Tweed strap and a ghost bezel, plus a deep clean.
1st gen Seiko Monster.

Seiko Lord Marvel from 1964 on a green suede JPM strap. Not for everybody, not boring either!
Best Regards
Claudio
She got style, got to admit!
Best Regards
Claudio
I don’t know what she’s got on.
I got it from Uniqlo
Best winter buy @£25 and it matches the strap on the lord marvel XD
Apologies for steering away from the “Show your Seiko” thread, I think we’re done talking about my cheap fleece and I promise I’m not doing it to get the post count to access SC :)
Favorite old Seiko Diver Kinetic. it no longer works and it has a big scratch on it, so not worth spending any money on it.
Thanks for your comment. I might take it in and ask about the scratch on the glass, see how much that would cost to repair. I really like it. It is quite chunky but somehow sits really well on my wrist. It is quite deep, so you have to almost look directly over it to see the time - like looking over the rim of a bucket to see the bottom !
Thanks
Cousins sell a replacement cell for £6.75 plus shipping and vat anf the crystal £23:45 plus
There are a few sellers on eBay with replacement glass and gasket for about £20 - or a generic crystal for about £10 -I know I have one I’m thinking of replacing
A DD sapphire is available
https://www.seikomods.com/shop/ct061/
I think the original is 29 x1.5 if you want to go down the generic route and probably about a pound from cousins- if your careful the gasket will probably be ok
