Another Seiko added to the collection. A cracker of a 6309.
It's 1984 and my first watch. Resurrected with a spring bar spring.
I'm not a great fan of the original flat crystal on the 6309, so I've just fitted a double domed 6105 sapphire.

The LX arrived last week. My little trio of Japanese goodness.

A bit of summer fun.
I've had this watch over 10 years now, and pretty much only wear it for our yearly sailing holidays. It's a great watch, and at the end of the sailing trip I always wonder why I need the other divers I have.
Seiko Dawn Grey. On a bit of a grey Northern day. In the afternoon.

A pair of classic Japanese home market divers. A 7548 and an NOS 7c43.

Sacrilege I know. But looking for a safe option for the 5146.

I’ve not worn a Seiko for ages. I’ve been wearing my 1977 6306 today

A modern turtle. Orange summer edition Dial is just amazing. Gentle orange really changes in different light conditions.
... today with (all original) 7548-700b pepsi. For me the best GADA. Looks great on anything
With Nato full of colours

Not my watch or photo but taken from Seikodiver's account on IG. I thought I would share it because of it's great aesthetics and also that someone os actually using an MM300 away from their desk. :)
This arrived this morning after huytonman (Keith) kindly responded to my recent WTB. I’d expressed interest in an SLA017 though more in hope than expectation that one would materialise. Those who own them don’t seem inclined to let them go and ones that appear on Chrono 24 have asking prices in excess of RRP. Being a pragmatic soul, I added a SLA043 to my WTB and that’s what I was offered.
What do I like about the watch? Well, here we go:
Drilled lugs
No crown guards and a suitably large crown
8L35 movement
A well proportioned bezel that doesn’t overwhelm the dial
Attractive hour plots and handset
Typically intense Seiko lume
The accompanying blue and black rubber straps look great but on the wrist they’ve pretty inflexible so they’ll be staying in the quite substantial presentation box. Fortunately this watch looks great on most other straps.
I thought the distinctive blue seconds hand would be quite jarring. But that’s not the case at all.
I wouldn’t pay RRP (£4080) and I doubt anyone did but good examples appear on SC for £2250-£2350, which seems like good value to me.
A couple of 40+ year old divers.
Cheers
Neil
