Excellent result for the Irons probably could have and should have had another which would of made the second leg somewhat more comfortable.

Good turnaround from the Hammers last night but didn't play great, so a bit nervous about the return leg. Hopefully, we can see out the tie and get a chance of the trophy in what has otherwise been a disappointing season.

    It's on a knife edge.

Good comeback but now we have to do it again at their place.
    Cheers,
    Neil.

    Question

    Predictions for tonight in Manchester?

I’m thinking it’ll be a nail biter but with City winning 2-1. Maybe…..

All these City Etihad records being quoted by the media really putting the jinx on it.

Hoping for a City win obviously but mostly a good game that the best team wins and, please, no penalties.

  8. #408
Watching the first leg reminded me just how much an entitled team Real are. Histrionics galore and in the refs ear about absolutly everything and anything. So far that reason I hope City dump them out, although I think it will be a close game with Real trying to slow the game down at every opportunity and then the hitting on the quick counter attack. If your a City fan patience is going to be the key and lets be honest here, City will never have a better opportunity to go on and win the CL.

To be fair Silva got away with a terrible stud rake foul in the 1st leg.

    Fancy City to win 3-1

Surprisingly flat atmosphere although that may be just how it appears on TV. Certainly pales compared to the San Siro last night

Looking a different game this half. City need to get back on top before RM score.

City have been magnificent. KDB has looked tired all night but Grealish, Silva and Gundogan have been fantastic.

If they don’t win it this year…

    Great result.

Crushed Real Madrid. What a result.

There seems to be a steeliness and determination about this team compared with last season. I thought we were good against Bayern at home but RM didn’t know what hit them in the first half.

Utterly dominant, especially in the first half. Their mastery of the ball, the space and their own movement is out of this world. Two of the best teams we've seen in European football in recent years have been coached by Pep. The man is a genius. I've never seen anyone like him. I hope they go on and put on a real show in the final and win it.

That has to be the best half of total football I have ever watched in my 60 odd years. Very near to total perfection. Milan must be quaking in their boots watching that. Southgate must be relishing working with Grealish after another masterclass from him

City could potentially cricket score Inter, they are arguably the worst side to reach the final since Liverpool in 05.

Long time since I watched a game that was so enjoyable. Somehow it's good to see Haaland not scoring. Many times you get the idea (reading the papers) that it is 'Haaland and the 10 minions'. But City has shown that it's much more than that!

I even contacted my oldest who lives 6 timezones away and told him to find a stream or channel to watch the game. Which he did.

Terrible side that season. Imagine getting to five finals, winning three and the two you lost was on penalties

From what I've seen of Inter they do look really poor. History tells us that in the final they'll be overly physical, diving, whining and cheating which could spoil it as a spectacle. I just hope City go a couple of goals up early on so Inter will have to play less of the dark arts and more of the football.

Inter will be difficult to breakdown but this City team has more than enough to pass around them and get the reward.

It should be a fascinating game to watch. It won’t necessarily be a pretty game of football but it will be entertaining.

Inter will have to kick them off the park and hope for a break away goal, otherwise they have no chance.

Hard to see inter living with city, that display last night was as good as we have seen in Europe, they would be deserved winners (in a football sense) this year.

Man City look special. Testament to what can be achieved with £2 billion, a manager with an offshore account, a suspended 2-year ban from European competition and 115 charges of financial irregularity.

    Oh , I dunno .
Your spends are similar , your club accounts are offshore and it seems you’ve had a self imposed ban from the Champions League for a few years now .
