    Sellita factory damaged

I wonder if this will delay the SW216 movements I have on order for the "dirty dozen" WWW?

    This sounds unexpectedly hopeful

"it's lucky the industry was on holiday"

"But we hope and believe that it will not impact deliveries. Fortunately, the logistics and parts departments have not been impacted. That's key. The assembly lines have been impacted though but shall be repaired by August 14th."

' A possible Tornado '. Well either was or it wasn't.

It looks like a bomb site.

Whilst working in Salt Lake City in the 90’s a tornado came through. Damage looked very similar, lagging insulation boards were strewn for miles. Our minibus ( on-route to us) had its side windows blown out!. Even though it was only a mile from our hotel all we had was torrential rain.

Glad to read everyone was ok though, seemed like it was just material damage. Looks bad though, reminds me of back home after a hurricane.

It looks bad but sounds like it could have gone a lot worse! Glad there was minimal damage.
Feel almost guilty for saying it given the context but fingers crossed there's not too much of a knock on effect to the release of the www!

I'm pretty sure they'll have robust business continuity measures in place.

What, when your factory’s taken out be a tornado? I very much doubt it.

Natural disaster recovery is standard stuff for many large organisations.

    FTFY

A large proportion of businesses don't have even the barest recovery plan for a fire in their premises. It's hard enough to get them to sort life safety out let alone think about property protection and business continuity.
